S.T.E.A.M Saturday - Keepin' It Cool

  • Lewis Latimer House 34-41 137th Street Queens, NY, 11354 United States (map)

How did Lewis Latimer solve the problem of easily accessible, clean, and cool air in Manhattan in the 1890s? By inventing an early air conditioning system, of course! Celebrate Latimer’s invention and explore how architects today combine art, math, and design to keep spaces cool by creating cardboard buildings and adding them to our collaborative and sustainable city.

Join us on Saturday, July 12 for this family-friendly STEAM activity!

STEAM Saturdays at LLH are free events, open to all ages and abilities, that feature a hands-on activity, a family-friendly scavenger hunt, and self-guided tours. Drop in any time between 12PM - 4PM! Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
